Question:
Sometimes certain users report that they completed a course or lesson successfully but the system is not giving them the proper completion status. What can cause this?

Answer:
The type of course you are viewing is called a SCORM formatted course. SCORM courses are special courses which require the user to take certain actions in order for the LMS (eLeaP) to be sent the correct results. Sometimes, SCORM courses can have difficulty with certain web browsers like Internet Explorer. This can prevent your results from being sent into the system. Please use Google Chrome or Firefox instead of Internet Explorer.

The LMS requires that ALL slides be viewed and quizzes successfully (passed) completed before a completion can be credited to your account. Also when you successfully complete a course and are invited to click the [Finish] button or click the blue [Exit] link to close the layer, please wait about 3 seconds after performing those actions. If everything is done correctly you will receive credit for the lesson.

Suggested Solution:

  1. Make sure you are using the in-course navigation tools like the [Next Slide] or [Previous Slide] buttons located at top right of slide. See an example below:

In-Course Navigation

2. When you get to the end of the course, click the [Finish] button to go back to your course menu. You can also click the blue [Exit] link to close the course viewing layer. Be very careful not to close your logged in account or else you will not get any credit for the particular lesson you viewed.

3. Wait about 3 seconds after the pop-up window is closed the system will update your records. If the system doesn't update your records you should try a different browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.
